Everybody is different, everybody has challenges!

ADD = Attention Deficit Disorder.

The wonderful thing about having ADHD is when you understand how you act and think, it gets better. I found out I was ADD late in my life. I’ve gone through my life, thinking and acting differently! Once I understood the challenges of being ADHD/ADD, I have embraced them. When we all do that the world will be a better place.
Am I typical ADHD/ADD?
These are some of the challenges I face, do any resonate with you?
- I get bored easily, get distracted and go down rabbit holes.
- I have perfectionist tendencies.
- I don’t manage time very well.
- I procrastinate because my brain says I won’t get enough dopamine, so I’ll do that instead.
- I am great at the big picture but crap at the administration of life in business and personal.
- My brain is there but my mouth doesn’t know how to say it or the other way round.
- I get frustrated because of my impatience!
- I am more empathic and feel emotions more
I prefer to call ADHD, The Rebel Way™ because WE can develop ways to liberate how we show up within society, in business, and in our personal life. I use the term ADD, although my brain is continually thinking and active, my body does not need to be active consistently.
Researchers view ADHD as stemming from a defective or deficit-based nervous system. Now, why call ADD a disorder when there are many positives? The ADHD nervous system works beautifully using its own set of rules. The hallmark of the ADHD/ADD nervous system is not an attention deficit, it’s inconsistent attention.
We don’t have the same filter as neurotypical people.
90% of the world who don’t have ADHD/ADD are referred to as neurotypical. Neither ADHD/ADD nor neurotypical people must have a particular way of thinking! We have a different way of thinking. Now, why isn’t that thinking endorsed and accepted by the world?
A person with ADHD/ADD is motivated by completely different things, than neurotypical people. My aim is to help you embrace your different brain wiring. Understand the psychology around your neurodiversity and create strategies and ways of working that are sustainable and consistent – without getting bored!
I believe coaching is the way forward for people with ADHD/ADD
Investing in coaching is one of the most powerful decisions you can make. When you work with me you will learn how YOU…
- Connect with yourself and others at work
- Interact with family and friends
- Define your Rebel Self
- How YOU feel about yourself
- How YOU deal with emotion
- Create strategies to align with ADHD thinking.
When you commit to coaching and set aside time on a regular basis it will help you be accountable, sort out what matters and set priorities.
Funded coaching
Diagnosed ADHD adults in UK, whether employed or self-employed/sole trader, can claim back six months of coaching from Access to Work. Your business pays me, your ADHD coach, in advance and then claims back each month’s fees in arrears. So book an evaluation call with me, complete the ATW application process (DWP) and we can get coaching within a few months.
If you have ever been called quirky, eccentric, flamboyant, loud, restless, impatient you may identify with these challenges.
I know it’s not easy trying to fit in, however, it is possible to be yourself and learn ways to function in a neurotypical society. This is why I’m here to help you better understand yourself!
